I tried to find a good image, and given his size I didn't want to offend any of our viewers. I wanted to first write and say thank you to all of Jason's siblings for allowing us to bury Joseph at the head of Grandma and Grandpa Edwards grave. I don't think that you can comprehend the measure of comfort that this provides knowing that he isn't just out there all by himself. I know his spirit is with them so it seemed appropriate that his body should also be there. We feel very strongly that it was GranMary who received him and we all know that she loved to hold a baby. We are grateful for your love and especially your kind words. Please don't feel bad if you don't know what to say to us. Truth be told we are trying to figure out how to respond given the circumstances, and most of the time we are without words as well. The most comforting words that we are hearing, are "i love you!".
While we are sad our comfort is family, friends, and our beliefs. Joseph's death, while very heartbreaking, gives us something to strive for. Jason and I want to be good enough to have the chance to raise our son in the next life. Having seen his sweet face makes us want to know him. To hold him again.
We are looking forward to happier times ahead, and again we want to thank Super Auntie Barbara for being so great. I know that this distracted from your plans and you didn't hesitate one bit which made a tough time, especially for the boys, a whole lot easier. THANK YOU!!

Edwards family,
We are sorry to hear the loss or your little Joseph. What a sweet boy! Isn't the gospel amazing though? To know that we will be with our loved ones again, that death is NOT the end. Our thoughts and prayers go out to you and your family. Your family is amazing! I'm glad I know you!

Allison, we weren't having complications in the traditional sense. Joseph's death was the result of a cord accident.

another close friend of mine had the same thing happen. She was 20 weeks and went to find out the sex of the baby and at the same time found that the baby didn't have a heart beat. After delivery found that the cord was kinked. I can't imagine how hard that would be. You inspire me. Thanks for being such an awesome person and a good friend.

Dear Mindy and Jason,

Matt and I are sending waves of love and prayers your direction. You two are strong, and this will make you stronger as you face one of the hardest things to imagine. You will be amazed at the peace and strength you will find as you pray and as others pray for you. I wish I were there right now to hug you and cry with you as you were with me when we needed you. I'll tell Clarissa to find him and hold him for a while for you. :) Maybe they'll be great playmates in heaven. We love you very much and ache that you have to experience this, but we know that you will see blessings beyond measure through this experience.

P.S. Can you send me your mailing address -- just email it to me when you get a chance lemira[dot]wheelwright@gmail[dot]com.

Love you, Mindy and Jason!!!!

My dear sweet friend--My heart aches for you. We just got back from Nauvoo where we heard story after story of families who lost children. I think I cried atleast 20 times this week thinking of how those women (and men) must have felt. Now to come home and hear of your loss, all I can say is that I'm sorry and that I love you.

Dear Jason, Mindy, and the boys:
Our family wants to let you know how much we love you and are thinking of you. We pray the Comforter is with you during this difficult time. We are grateful for the temple and for the gospel and we know Joseph is being lovingly cradled by his grandparents and all his other loved ones who have gone on before. We wish you peace in the days to come and strength during the rough times.
All our love,
Greg, Carla, Emma, Lindsay, and Nicholas
